Are You Crew Without a Boat?

Are you an experienced sailor interested in cruising, but can't find a berth?

Would you like to sail in Boston Harbor or Cape Cod? Or perhaps cruise for a week or more in the New England waters, or beyond?

Would you like to experience a variety of sailboats or visit new sailing grounds? Perhaps you want to prepare to charter or to purchase your own boat.

The Pelagic Sailing Club is Your Solution!

Pelagic Sailing Club boat owners are interested in crew like you! Their boats are located in harbors from Maine to Rhode Island. Skippers want experienced and qualified crew because they sail almost every weekend and need crew for day sails, weekends, and for extended cruises to places to places such as Nova Scotia, Florida, the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands. Often the fall may be spent helping a boat through the intercoastal waterway.

Skippers are looking experienced crew, not only for companionship but for safety under way. Skippers look for crew who know how to sail, how to trim sails, steer, navigate and assist in docking and mooring. As crew you'll be expected to help with boat maintenance, and enjoy a good sail.

Are You a Skipper Without Crew?

Do you find yourself staying home in perfect sailing weather because you can't find crew for a day, weekend or more extended cruise ?

Would you like to sail to distant ports, but can't find experienced crew?

Are you an experienced boat owner, who is interested in sailing and sharing knowledge with other skippers?

Would you like to swap ideas on sailing, equipment, fitting out, or cruising grounds?

The Pelagic Sailing Club is Your Solution!

Pelagic crew are experienced, and ready to help sail your boat for a day, a weekend, or a week or more. The Pelagic crew will pitch in on everything from setting sails, steering, navigation, and anchoring to helping with chores. And at the end of the season they don't simply disappear. They can be called upon to help with those haul out jobs in addition to helping prepare for launching in the spring.

Both our skippers and crew have a wealth of experience to share with you. They can answer questions about gear you are considering for purchase, and they can tell you a bit more about the harbor you plan to visit on your next cruise.
